Anyone who pays $95 for a steak either has more money than they know what to do with or they dont have much sense. I refuse to pay more than $30 for a steak and yes, it better come with a salad and a side. Now going out once or twice a year and spending money like that, maybe an anniversary or something, fine but just to go....no. Not for me.... and I make over 80k a year, sorry...
When I was married, Bob's was a once a month occasion. Just because. And that wasn't on anyone else's tab. Get over it.

A buddy of mine came in jeans and a polo, but I'd recommend against that.

Hope you enjoy it. I usually roll in a button up and slacks.

That's part of why I prefer Bob's. CG is great, but if you walk in Bob's in jeans and a polo, nobody will think twice about it.

Do you need shoes as well? Will flip flops be acceptable?

There were people showing up to CG opening weekend in Plano wearing shorts, polos and flip flops. Quick way to get yourself seated by the kitchen, bathroom or the bar.

It was like that at Fogo De Chao on a Saturday night in San Antonio. It was my first time going to the restaurant, so maybe I thought people would dress up a bit more. I don't know if that is the normal atmosphere for that restaurant or if it is an exception to the rule since it is right on the River Walk.

My reservation is for two, but after thinking about it I don't want to spend that much money on a girl I barely know. I haven't told her yet about the reservation. Is the bar a good place to eat if I'm just going stag?

You may have to call and clarify, but you may get stuck with the bar menu (unless you're ok with that). I've heard of people getting the full menu in the bar, but it can be packed so they may not ofer it.

I had the Delmonico at CG. Food was incredible. I'm not a fan of the atmosphere though. I'll have to check out Bob's next.

Bob's has the old 'men only' country club feel to it. if you go, go to grapevine. Fuck the rest of em.
