the single guy logo is the international. those are just alright.

I thought I remembered something about the two guys. Good thing with Costco is their return policy. I have never heard of the Saber brand, but they seem like a nice set.

I'm going to teach you guys how to passivate stainless, so you can wash your stainless knives in the dishwasher.

I still wouldn't wash them in the dishwasher. There is more of a reason to not machine wash than just the caustic detergents. Been handwashing for two decades, and will continue to do so.

yea, i cant see a need to wash the knives in a dish washer. ive cut the fat cap off 3 briskets once and still hand washed it in a minute.

oh and I have a set of calphalon knives myself.
i have the katana series. they were decently rated and made from high carbon damascus steel. it was on amazing sale otherwise i would have bought 3 individual shun blades.

I've got Wusthof Classics in my kitchen and stand by them, no issues. Like Brent said, unless your dropping a fuckton of cash, just go with what is comfortable.

Well, are the Henckels International a good set, or should I look for a German Henckels set? I just want something that is going to last for at least 4-5 years until I get ready to buy the set I really want.

I have the German Henkels and have had them for over 10 years. They have been fantastic.

<---- Ditching my Henckels for a set of Wusthof Ikon Classics. Great feel, more weight in the handle which is what I like, and the blade is more rounded. HIGHLY recommend if you don't care about having a fingerguard on the blade.

These any good? They have larger handles for people with bigger hands. Ive read some reviews and people said they were "too light".

Too light can be an issue. You want a knife with some weight behind it, and balance. I would never recommend buying a set of knives without holding them first. I don't know where those specifically are sold, but Bed, Bath, and Beyond, as well as any department store should have a decent selection. That way you can get the feel before you order online.
