Bacon does not belong in/with ice cream of any sort. I can't image how that would taste.

Actually, from the culinary side, it makes perfect sense. With the right bacon, you get the perfect balance of salty/sweet, that so many try so hard for. There are examples of this everywhere. Trail mix, chocolate pretzels, Bacon wrapped dates, prosciutto wrapped melon, syrup and bacon/sausage, etc.


I'll say I've never tried a bacon sundae. But I will say, I feel dumb for not thinking of it first. So simple, yet one of my top 3 flavor combinations. And I'll say while I won't do it at Denny's, I'll be making one at home soon. Don't knock it til you try it. There are spool many weird food combos that on the surface sound disgusting, but in reality are heavenly. I'm almost positive there was even a thread about that subject in Canada.

LOL I guess I've missed out on the best food combinations because I'm not a smoker....I never would have thought to put chocolate frosting on toast, but it works.
