Greenburg was just the guy with baseball experience.
I don't really know what to think abou this. He seemed like a good guy.

We might need him if they don't get Utleys knee issues figured out.

Sources have indicated there was no one tipping point that took the relationship between Greenberg and the ownership group beyond repair. Instead, there was an accumulation of missteps that caused disharmony in an organization that appeared to have found normalcy after going through the bankruptcy-ravaged end to the Tom Hicks ownership era.
Nolan Ryan will add the title of CEO and oversee all baseball and business operations for the organization, reporting directly to the team’s Board of Director

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Matt Harrison pitched with one pitch tied behind his back on Saturday afternoon and still finished with four scoreless innings against the White Sox.
That's how good he has been going this spring. Harrison left his cut fastball on the bench and relied on his fastball, curve and changeup during his start in the Rangers' 4-1 victory over the White Sox at Camelback Ranch.
"I was getting outs with three pitches and figured I didn't need the cutter," Harrison said. "I decided to save that for the season."
Harrison has also been quite convincing that the upcoming season should be spent in the Rangers rotation. Facing a veteran White Sox lineup, Harrison allowed just two singles, did not walk a batter and struck out four. He threw 55 pitches and remains one of the most impressive pitchers in camp.
"He just needs to continue to do what he's doing," manager Ron Washington said. "Use all his pitches, pound the strike zone and stay down in the strike zone, use the off-speed stuff behind in the count and spot his fastball. That's what he's doing."
Harrison came to camp having worked hard on his mental approach during the off-season. He was determined not to kiss his chances away by walking people. He was determined to throw strikes.
Harrison has now pitched nine complete innings over three starts and allowed one run on five hits with two walks and four strikeouts. Nine innings -- one complete game -- is a small sample, but this is Spring Training.
Pitchers need to take advantage of every inning given to them and Harrison has done exactly that.
"I'm as confident as I've ever been," Harrison said. "I'm not worried about anybody else. I'm competing against myself. Even though I have made the rotation the past two years, I've never been this confident. I think I'm mentally tougher."
Washington said that's a big difference in what they are seeing from Harrison now as opposed to past Spring Trainings.
"He looks a lot more mature," Washington said. "He's got a ton of confidence, and that's most of what it takes in the game of baseball."
Harrison still doesn't have anything wrapped up yet. Tommy Hunter, who pitches Sunday against the Giants, still has the inside track on one spot. Harrison's main competition is Derek Holland, who has a 1.80 ERA, Michael Kirkman (3.00 ERA) and Alex Ogando (3.60). David Bush (4.50 ERA) is also still in the running.
Harrison has to still win a job. He also has to keep it. He was in the rotation to start the season in each of the past two seasons and wasn't able to stay there. Injuries played a part but so did erratic performances. He is 14-9 with a 5.67 ERA in 32 career starts.
But right now he is the standard by which all other starter candidates are being measured in Rangers camp.An invasion of armies can be resisted, but not an idea whose time has come.
