  • Andruss is having a particularly shitty night, going 0-5 with an error.

The Rangers have slowed up the pace for errors, thank God.

    • Went to the game tonight and it's a rare occasion but I'd have been just as fine if I didn't go. That game seemed to drag on forever and it was not a pleasant evening outside. Seeing Cruz's second yack was nice, though. Hopefully they'll rebound tomorrow; after all, you should win most games that you score 7 runs in.

Stick to the Cowboys, homeboy. The runner has supreme domain in the baseline so long as he doesn't deliberately impede the fielder's ability to field the ball, which he didn't.

      • Anyone have a concern with Lewis giving up so many home runs this season?

Oh I guess you've spoken, I'll stick to whatever I want to homeskillet. IMO that hit was un-nessasary, he made the play on the ball and chickenhead ran over him, that bitch could have went around.

Yeah. At times, it looks like he's pitching batting practice, LOL. When it comes to the staff as a whole, I felt like if the guys were hitting the ball, they would be OK. I still feel that way.

It's not his job to negotiate the fielder, it's the fielder's job to negotiate him. It's similar to a runner taking out a 2B/SS on a double play: they've got the right to the basepath and it's in their best interest to proceed without any concern as to what the fielder is doing. Kinsler himself even admitted that it was the right call.

              • Kenny Rogers was elected to the Rangers HOF.

I never cared for him. He just never seemed to be worthy of all the expectations they gave him.

                • Not great, but one of the better pitchers they've had. Also had that nifty little perfect game.

He won 133 games as a Ranger pitcher and made the all star team 4 times. Yeah he was a jerk but he was also the best pitcher we had in the thin years after Ryan retired. He also threw the Ranger's last no hitter, which was also a perfect game. He's also widely regarded as the best fielding pitcher in the history of the game and is second in all time pick offs.

He should be a lock for the MLB hall in a couple of years and he was a Texas draft pick.

I think he was in the rotation with Ryan a couple of years, along with Kevin Brown (a 20-game winner). The Rangers were fun to watch in the early '90's!

All valid points, but I just feel MLB hall is a stretch for him.

maybe he just doesn't stick out as great because of the terrible teams he played with.

He only had about 220 wins for his career. The perfect game in a nice touch, but probably have to agree.

Yea, and playing for the Yankees didn't help his cause either.
