Went to the game tonight and it's a rare occasion but I'd have been just as fine if I didn't go. That game seemed to drag on forever and it was not a pleasant evening outside. Seeing Cruz's second yack was nice, though. Hopefully they'll rebound tomorrow; after all, you should win most games that you score 7 runs in.

It's not his job to negotiate the fielder, it's the fielder's job to negotiate him. It's similar to a runner taking out a 2B/SS on a double play: they've got the right to the basepath and it's in their best interest to proceed without any concern as to what the fielder is doing. He won 133 games as a Ranger pitcher and made the all star team 4 times. Yeah he was a jerk but he was also the best pitcher we had in the thin years after Ryan retired. He also threw the Ranger's last no hitter, which was also a perfect game.
