If it happens 6 seasons from now, I'm ok with it.
I was just as surprised as everyone else that he signed with the phillies. I'm sure I was also less disappointed than most of you. Look at the bright side, at lease he didn't sign with the yankees.

Because Major League hitters can hit the heat. Choose your battles wisely. *cough* Cliff Lee *cough*

And Feliz isn't just your average closer. I would expect him to be able to get anyone out.

It's a moot point now...it worked out and Rangers won. But I don't think I'd ever intentionally put the winning run at the plate...unless it was Chris Davis.

          • After listening to XM while on the road this evening - apparently last year Cabrera faced Feliz he made Mr. Rawlings go Bye-Bye. Ron has that imaged burned in his mind and was confident that Feliz could work around the I-walk.

TX will be fine without Lee. It was actually nice seeing somebody not take the biggest payday for once. The player's union is a little pissed with him over it, but he was thinking about his family first. Of course being a Braves fan, I'd have preferred he had not gone back to Philly. Although we didn't have any problems with him on Friday.

He gave up a double to a lesser hitter than Cabrera. Cabrera at the plate as the tying run with Martinez on deck is more dangerous than Cabrera on first as the tying run with Martinez on deck.

He's good, no doubt, but any decent hitter can hit him.

                    • Angels lost last night, so now the Rangers are also 4 games up on the A's/Angels.

We're still talking about the guy that got roughed up by Baltimore last year at the All-Star break, gave up a grand slam in the bottom of the 9th to blow the lead (was it a save opportunity? don't recall), right? If he allows 1 run every 5 appearances, he's doing pretty well. But he's not going to be perfect every time, so why risk it against a good hitter that can ruin his day when he can risk it against a so-so hitter?

I agree. If the players are having fun and winning, fans will love them.
