Rangers 2011 season thread

Rangers look like they're on pace to pick up their 10th win in a row. They've opened up a 4-1 lead against King Felix in the 8th inning. CJ has had a few walks tonight, but has pitched well.

10 in a row, tomorrow could be the 3rd swept series in a row. It's against cellar dwellers but they still count. King Felix isn't a chump and we kicked his ass.

A little separation from the Angels finally is nice, but they've got to put it up against them later this week in LA or all this good work can turn around quickly. The early inning scoring has been great to watch, though; I can't remember the last time they jumped out to early leads so consistently.

Nice win streak right now. There will be a familiar face on the mound today for Seattle. Blake Beavan is from Irving and was the Rangers #1 pick a few years ago. He went to Seattle in the Cliff Lee deal. So far, he has been pretty good with Seattle.

Rangers have a 4 game lead now heading into a 3 game series with the 'Halos. We're in good shape and as long as we don't get swept in Anaheim...will leave in good shape. It's nice to see the Rangers finally not making error after error. Warsh thanks the media for it. He says all the negative attn the defense got lately forced the guys to regain focus in the field.

I for one, have really been harping on their errors. In May and June, they were averaging damn near an error per game. They have 3 in their last 11 (I think 2 pitchers made throwing erros and Napoli had a catchers' interference), and none have cost' them runs. Whatever reason Wash gives, I'll take.
