Heck of a way to start the year! We also got to see the first example of moving players around today. Man this team is deep in the field. Also good to see Harrison off to a good start.

It was great to see Harrison do well. I think he answered some questions (and prayers!) for fans.

This team looks great so far, granted, it has only been three games. The bats are on fire and the pitching looks to be excellent. Two runs of yesterday's game lay solely on Borbon's shoulders, otherwise, Lewis only gives up 1.

It's too damn bad the outfield is so deep, as Murphy definitely deserves a starting spot on the roster. I'd almost argue to move him to left or right with Hamilton or Cruz covering center, but while those two guys are speedy, they aren't anywhere near as fast as Borbon. That is the only reason why he is the starter.
How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

We'll see. They were OK last year, hopefully they're better this year.

Every post you make about baseball just shows one more aspect of the game you don't understand. Third base isn't a speed and range position. The extent of a third baseman's range is diving plays to each side, cutting off a slow grounder in front of the short stop, backhand plays down the line, and bunts/slow rollers. The balls are typically hit to third base harder than any other position in the field; there's less time to react, so pure speed and the ability to cover a large area aren't as crucial as reacting quickly and handling hard smashes. However, the area a second baseman covers is much larger and requires more speed and agility and, since balls hit within a second baseman's range aren't as hot as at third, quick reaction isn't as important (although it helps).

              2nd isn't a range position but 3rd is?

I could really get used to this kind of offensive production. The lineup/position musical chairs is kind of fun to watch too, as was the solid start by Harrison.

Well, considering 1st base 60ft away from 2nd and 135ft from 3rd, you tell me. Do you think fielding a ball down the left field line (assuming Young even got to it) and making a 150ft. throw is the same as covering a 70ft. gap between 1st and 2nd?

What does the throw have to do with his range? I think you're really, really confused.

That's not a question of range (which pertains to getting to and fielding a ball); that's a question of arm strength. Any Major Leaguer can make the throw from behind third base to first base. Some do it better than others, though.

Think what you want to think..LOL! I'm not confused. He obviously cannot get to some balls down the left field line in time to make that throw. Are you actually arguing this point? Apparently the Rangers feel the same way.

It is if he can't get to that ball.
