  • Cam Newton and the Cowboys

I heard on the radio the Cowboys were going to talk with him. I know they have to do their due diligence, but really, does it make sense for them to pick him?

They wont pick him... more like " hey look the cowboys are interested in him and we draft right after them...we're gonna have to trade up Mr Snyder"

He wont be there and I feel he is just a bust anyway. He didnt look good in the CG and almost cost them the game.

I wouldn't take him in the 7th. The guy has ONE FUCKING YEAR of Division I football under his belt. He's got bust written all over him. If it's any consolation, the Cowboys also met with Vick back in 2001, and didn't draft him.

I will say though, I'm a little concerned that Jerry is buying in to the hype, because of his comments. We have much bigger needs that need to be addressed, to waste our first rounder on him. I do think some some dumbass team will take him in the first round. I'd just prefer that team to be the Redskins, Raiders, etc.

Cam Newton will be the next, Jam Russell. If the boys do end up with him, enough is enough for me. They will not be worth cheering for.

Mel Kiper has Cam Newton going 10 in the first round. Doesn't the cowboys have the 9th pick? I wouldn't put it past JJ to draft Newton. Now if he was smart he would trade him for later draft picks. But it's JJ.

If anything they need a VETERAN QB for McGee to learn under. Hell I think we should honestly grab McNabb for a 2 year deal and beef up the O-Line. Get fucking Rid of Chokemo. But thats just me.

I really don't understand why this is big news. Just about every team will interview every player projected to be taken in the first round. So some no name reporter looking for a story pushed this one out there likes it's something special and the Cowboy nation runs wild with it. The Cowboys have way to many holes to address to even consider this move.
