I was reading an article on the 'Daily Beast' about BB becoming a 'black sport' and white people not playing (or attending) because of tattoo'd thugs and street ball players. They were allowing people to post, so I did, but since I didn't allow for them to send me bullshit to my email they didn't let me post. So for my time not to be wasted, I will post my answer here.
'The pro game has become boring and I feel (and have always felt) that the referees give the home team the benefit of the doubt when calling fouls. That in my eyes is cheating, giving the home team a clear advantage. I always played BB while growing up, not in school because I was to short but in pick up games at rec centers, outdoor parks where everyone played, kids of all races and to tell you the truth, the blacks always got schooled, even the ones that played on school teams. One of the reasons was there was no referees, unless it was a clear foul, we played the honor and majority rules, rules. This is why HS and college BB is so fun to watch, the refs are calling the games correctly. To me the NBA has become like boxing (and the WWE) thats why I dont watch. Any sport that has its outcome determined by refs/judges will always have contraversy. Like boxing, once I saw cheating by the judges it was not worth watching anymore, the term "don't leave it in the hand of the judges" rings very true in this sport.'
