  • Romo's Replacements

Interesting little link on potential Free Agents to take over for Romo or back him up next year.

Personally, I would try and draft his replacement and let him sit behind Romo next year.

As has been asked a million times, who is worth a shit in this draft?

There are like 2, maybe. Still a better option than anyone available in free agency.

You have to try to get a replacement. They don't have the luxury to skip this year for a QB. I guarantee there is a starter in this draft. There is one every year. Their scouts need to get their shit together and advise Jerruh correctly.

I dunno, maybe they should pick up Bradford for 16 mill a year.

I thought Goff looked pretty good from what I've seen of him.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Beat me to it, yea him and I think he's probably the best out of this draft. Maybe you could see if you could get McCarron form Cin but idk what they'll ask for.

Also not really any interesting options in free agency. I don't see the Broncos letting Brock Owsiler leave. Maybe the Lions cut Stafford, but I doubt it.

Bradford would be lucky if he got 10. Plus I think he's done. His best year was 2013 before he torn his ACL the first time.

Don't worry guys, Jerruh expects another 4-5 years out of Romo.

Jerry Jones became irritated Tuesday morning while discussing the future of his franchise quarterback. When asked during a weekly radio interview about how much longer he expected Tony Romo to be the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Jones quickly replied, "Four to five years."

"I think if you look at his playing time, if you look at the years he has actually played, he started late," Jones said on 105.3 The Fan's K&C Masterpiece show [KRLD-FM]. "He really has excellent skill relative to where his skill set began, what his skill set is. He's got the relative skills. More important to anything, from a mental standpoint, and from the things that also mean so much at quarterback, he's at the top of the list. So I think four to five years."

But Jones was then pressed about Romo's recent injury history. Since October 2010, the 35-year-old QB has fractured his left clavicle three times and has had two back surgeries.

"This is not a damn debate, guys," Jones said. "This is not a debate we're having here. Do you know that I don't know if he's got four or five years, you asked me my opinion. And I can give you all the reasons why, the back, or I can give you clavicle, or I can give you any other type of injuries that are there.

"But you're asking me what I think and I think we've got outstanding quarterback ahead of us for the next four or five years. That's not a downer. Will we be looking to develop and get talent behind Romo? Absolutely."

I've said it, as has many on this site, as long as that dumbfuck JJ is GM we will never have good picks at QB, he is not a Football guy, just because you played doesn't make you a football GM. Money gave him that position, I wish his wife would finally make him quit the GM position...

I watched this thing on NFL network the other day about Jimmie Johnson, great 1hr documentary, Jimmie was more of a badass than I even knew, the show clearly shows the issue with the cowboys, JJ the GM.

He's under contract until 2017. Cap hit looks to be 11 million. If they cut him before June 1st of next year it's 5 million.

There was a rumor that he might be cut if they wanted to dump his salary and restart. They wer also rumors of trading Calvin Johnson before the trade deadline. If they did trade Johnson and cut Stafford before June then the lions would have $57 Million in cap space for 2016.

ESPN has a 30 for 30 short on the Hershel Walker trade and the things that Johnson did with the picks after the trade.

                              According to overthecap.com

Dallas has 9.5 million to play with for 2016. I can mess with the future with the calculator. Speaking of cap, why haven't Dallas cut Hardy yet? Dallas cap space is 6 million. If you cut Hardy now then it jumps to 12.

                              Btw, happy birthday
