I'm a lifelong Spurs fan and didn't enjoy the last Spurs/Mavs game. One sided affairs with asshat fans aren't fun at all. Sports fans are worse than ever in just about any sport. It's ruining sports along with the felons on the courts and fields.

I wouldn't have cared who won as long as I see an entertaining game. I absolutely hate one sided blowouts like that game and I was all to happy to leave early and avoid the traffic (and the asshats). I'm OK with people cheering for their teams, but it's the people that are loud and obnoxious, no matter if you are rooting for the home or visiting team, that bug the shit out of me. I've been to games were I've enjoyed talking with fans of opposing teams and enjoy the different perspective. Unfortunately this has been an ongoing thing when the Spurs come to town and recently in the past year or two with the Rockets.

I agree with you on all counts. Its one of the things I like about Rangers games or enjoyed about Mariners games when I was living near Seattle while in the Navy. You could be an opposing team fan and enjoy the game. I'd argue Seattle summers and baseball are almost meant for each other.

I haven't been to a Spurs game yet this year, which is unusual for me. I normally go to a few in SA. My first ever Spurs game (sporting event) was in '76 and featured George Gervin and Karren Abdul Jabbar as a young Laker.

I don't know you but I'd probably sit with you at a Spurs game and still enjoy it! Only other person I can say that to is probably Juiced4v, didn't we watch a game together at Plucker's or something a long time ago?

Trade Deadline has come and gone and nothing major really occurred. Not surprisingly, there were no takers for Howard. One interesting thing I did see is that DeJuan Blair got traded to Phoenix and they are expected to waive him. Would he be a good (cheap) pickup for the Mavs? And who would we need to drop to make room for him? Could we send someone to the D-League (I'm guessing not)?

Fucking Curry, he really put it to the Thunda on Saturday night in OT. Them fools thought they had won the game and GS took them to OT and that's when Curry sank a 3 pointer from almost mid court to seal the deal, lmao!

haha, they were getting beat, but they came back and forced OT and thats when they lost it. Really can't blame da thunda, they put someone on him so he wouldn't sink the 3 and he saw the defense and took the shot a few steps past the mid-court line.

What gets me are all the former NBA stars talking shit about Curry and the Warriors "Oh they wouldn't have been this good in my era". Get the fuck out of here! Oscar Robertson (The Big "O") was saying that teams now a days do not know how to play defense and they would have locked Curry down back in his days. Even Kareem was talking smack (and he was talking smack about Dirk a few weeks ago). Again get the fuck out of here with that shit. I'm not a fan boy but I respect Curry and his abilities.

I'll say one thing about the older NBA, a lot of the players I think played through a lot of injuries compared to players now a days. Also those players got a way with a lot of physicality (think the Detroit Bad Boys) that wouldn't fly in today's NBA. But the abilities of today's players trump a lot of what the older NBA could do in terms of speed, size, and accuracy in shot. Sure a few could do it like Jordan, Bird, Magic, etc. But overall, the players today are a higher quality player compared to back then.

Anyway just my rant for the day.
