It's the play calling, they Weeden'd him. I thought Cassel put a lot on the line with that game. It looks to me like he was told to only throw deep to Dez, which he did, and he was never open.

I personally don't believe cassel can throw the deep ball. Every time he has attempted it the last two weeks the ball has been 5 to 10 yards short. Which led to interceptions last week and damn near one today if Dez didn't foul the guy.

Pretty much. Play calling was terrible. Cassel is better than Weeden, but fuck are they both craptastic. I think Tim fucking Tebow would be a better option at this point.

Now in all seriousness. Tebow can't hit shit in the 10-20 yard range, but he isn't bad in the short and long throws. He can also run. What plays are Dallas calling right now? Runs, short ball, and the occasional deep ball. Everyone knows that Weeden doesn't have the stones to go deep, and Cassel doesn't have the arm.

We are talking about a guy that managed to beat the steelers in a playoff game with a strong supporting cast. Dallas has a strong supporting cast. As a long term option, fuck no, as a guy that has the ability to get a couple of wins against crappy teams, yeah. Weeden and Cassel have both proved that they can't get the job done against SHITTY teams.
