That's a good point because Nelson Cruz played in the Wild Card game against the Rays and he was out of sink.

At the very minimum it's added depth. Who would've thought with trading for Beltran and Gomez finding his game again that we're too deep with the outfield.

Beltran will have to be the DH. So then that leaves Gomez, Desmond, Mazara, Choo, and also Ryan Rua.

I use to be of the opinion that Beltre was not a HOFer, it was iffy. I think he's making the case this season that he's first ballot. If he can keep this up another few years, he's a no doubter for sure. I think people are starting to finally see just how great he is, and I think it's his age that's really doing it.

I have no doubt he's a HOFer. He just keeps putting together great year after great year and plays no matter what. What he did at the end of last year - coming back from the injury way early and then continuing to tear it up despite the injury. Playing on hamstrings that perpetually seems to be on the verge of going out on him every year. He's just a warrior. And a top notch defensive 3rd basemen. I felt he was a HOFer before this year, but he's definitely got it locked up.

I'm ok with Choo being on the roster, but CarGo has proven himself worthy in the leadoff spot. He's done really well since coming here. I don't know how you take him out of the lineup or even platoon him.
