Or Tampa, maybe even Philly. Archer, Odorizzi and Hellickson are definitely in play. Straight up for Lucroy would be good but they want pitching prospects as well.

Rangers are getting Carlos Beltran from the Yankees. So far, it says "for right-hander Dillon Tate and others". So Rangers picked up a bat without losing Gallo. Maybe they still have something else in the works.

Cool, he's having one heck of a season. Tate was our #5 prospect but we spent our 4th overall pick last year to get him. Beltran is definitely an upgrade over DeShields in center. This is his walk year though.

Sure he is a rental. I hope there is one more big trade coming. Pitching is the issue here.

Talk is that getting Beltran gives us some flexibility towards Lucroy, I think Gallo is still going somewhere. Hopefully with DeShields!

If they add Beltran and Lucroy by using up a few prospects or Gallo. I guess I am ok. Lucroy is still under contract next season I believe.

$5.25 million team option, which they hopefully will exercise before the trade.

I like the Beltran deal, he's on track for the hall of fame. Tate regressed quite a bit this season but he's still very young. They are sending someone else with him though, or cash.

Eric Swanson (8th round pick 2014) and Nick Green (4th round 2014) are also going with Tate for Beltran.

Rangers also get right-handed relief pitcher Jeremy Jeffress. I wonder if he or Dyson will close games?

Yeah so we got a pretty solid late inning reliever, a likely future HOF center fielder and one of the best catchers in the game. Without giving up Profar, Gallo or Mazara. Not a bad day.
