    At least we know what was wrong with Fielder, again. His contract is insured but only after a 90 day period then it's 50%. So realistically if he never plays again it'll cost the Rangers $9 million a year through 2020. Better than $18 million!

    Choo is back on the DL again as well.

    So the team is shopping for a DH, a first basemen and pitching now. I see Profar or Gallo being traded soon.

      We have a first baseman and plenty of players to DH. We need good starters, not studs just two good starting pitchers. It will give the bullpen rest so they can be good again too. We have enough offense to win it all. We need arms!!!!

        Looks like Chapman is going to be moved from the Yanks. I don't know if we are in talks or not.

        If we could get Chris Sale for Profar/Gallo and some prospects, we could be in the drivers seat.

        I am curious how much longer our farm system can hold up with shipping off all of these prospects for the last 3 or 4 years.

          I think the Sox want Brinson included. Sale is one of the few pitchers that may actually be worth the discussion, but let's not strip the pantry doing it. It seems the Sox fanbase really wants Odor. I wouldn't object to a deal that included Odor for Sale.

            As good as a pitcher Sale is, he doesn't fix anything for the bullpen. If we do get Sale then Derek Holland will be gone and the Rangers can save 10 million for next year.

              Any good starting pitcher helps the bullpen. Bad starting pitchers expose the bullpen.

                Exactly. A bullpen will suck if it is overworked. It's way easier to have velocity and control if properly rested. All pitchers suffer when overworked.

                    Chapman would have been awesome, but he was simply too expensive. The rangers just didn't need bullpen help that badly. This bullpen is effective, it's just way overworked.

                            The majority of the team being fielded tonight was grown in house just in the last few years.

                            This so infrequently happens in professional baseball, you should enjoy it by watching the game tonight. All of the hard work from our farm system finding these prospects from around the world, and then developing them into major league material, finally culminates tonight.
