And they keep doing so. I was curious how they'd fare once they got into the division. The Wild were good the other night, but the Stars prevailed in OT. Next up, Buffalo tonight. Couldn't have asked for a better start to the season. We've got a little house money now, so even when we finally hit a rough patch, it won't kill us in the standings too bad.

On another note, I was on hand for the NYE game. What a blast that was to attend. They gave up the first goal, then scored 5 in a row. Fun evening!

Stars made a trade today to shore up the D. They acquired Kris Russel from Calgary in exchange for Jyrki Jokipakka, prospect Brett Pollock, and a conditional draft pick. I don't think this puts them over the top, but our D had been sliding in the last month and a half or so. I think this team as it sits, get's through the first round and possibly the second into the conference finals. I'm an optimist, but I don't think we take that next step until next season.
