I agree for the most part with all of that. Hard to say I agree with the Clippers being #8 though, but not sure really where they fall with the DJ leaving and with what other changes might happen.

1. GS - Defending champs, returning in tactOriginally posted by Jose View PostHow do you have the Western Conference Top 5 ranked?
2. SA - May take a little time adjusting L.A. in, but they will be very tough.
3. Memphis - Gritty defensive team added more gritty d guys
4. Houston - Interested to see what happens w/ J Smith and if they have a trade in them
After that it gets pretty muddy to me.
OKC certainly has star power, but college coaches have had limited success in the NBA in the past and Durant may already have his bags packed for his next home.
NOLA has a legit MVP candidate and on paper a better coach coming in, but the supporting cast is still a little suspect
Mavs - Two nice pieces brought in, but I don't see either as "THE" guy on a team. Who is the leader of this team with Dirk starting to decline? We have a bunch of guys who can average 15 points a game, but nobody that can average 20. Matthews rehab is going to be huge.
Not sure who slides in at 8, I guess the clips because of Chris Paul...

Lin was a fantasy beast towards the end of the year when he was getting more minutesOriginally posted by Jose View PostAh... what about Golden State? I'll say this, the Southwest Division will be the toughest Division in all of the NBA. Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, Memphis, and NOLA; there is not one weak team there.
Ya I was agreeing with you. Lin has his moments though but I really haven't watched enough of him, especially before and after the Linsanity Days playing with the Knicks. I can't really think of anyone available out there that would be good. Oh, and I read a rumor that Terry might be returning. I like him and all but is he worth the money?

I think West will be hard to make it to the top 4! Mavs, Spurs, OKC and Houston will be the top!...Teams who take a trip to texas will leave 0-3

Lin deal is close to getting done, and so is the Barea deal. I don't know what they are thinking with Lin. They think he can be the starter, but if that's the case I'd rather Barea start. Lin has too many turnovers, and sucks balls defensively.

Agreed, JJ not a full time starter in this league. He's good for spurts like when the Mavs moved him to start in the finals their Championship year. But I think he's a solid backup and a good fit for the Mavs. Word is that they are trying to also sign Jeremy Lin. Not sure how that will work out but he's had his moments.

Yeah that is pretty much what happened!Originally posted by Jose View PostAgreed and they may have finally landed a Duncan replacement. Sorta reminds me when Duncan came into the league and pretty much Robinson handed him the reigns like the following year or so right?

I heard JJ Barea and Richard Jefferson are probable to re-sign with the Mavs as well.
