I suck as a Mavs fan. I didn't even notice he was gone.
Mavericks, TV analyst Bob Ortegal part ways

The Mavericks have parted ways with longtime television analyst Bob Ortegel.
Ortegel, 70, had been part of the Mavericks’ broadcast team for 23 years but had not been part of the telecasts with play-by-play man Mark Followill for the last two weeks.
“Bob has been an amazing part of the Mavs’ organization for more than 20 years,’’ owner Mark Cuban said. “He has represented us not only in the media, but to organizations across the country. We’re hoping for him to stay, but the door is always open for him to return. We wish him nothing but the best.’’
As for the reason for parting ways, Cuban said that a fresher look to the telecast is the goal.
Ortegel worked alongside Matt Pinto, Jim Durham and Allen Stone before Followill joined the team.
The telecast team will now include Brad Davis on the road and Derek Harper for home games. The radio team of Davis and Chuck Cooperstein will be a solo act for road games for now, it appears.
