I would think they could set it up for labor day weekend, since the GSP fight is on 4-30, but he may want more time to bulk up. IMO, I think Spider would likely knock George into next year. GSP is dominant, but he hasn't been finishing guys at 170, and giving Anderson 5 rounds to try and knock you out is not a good idea for anybody. Serra already proved GSP doesn't have the strongest jaw in the whole world...

How many fights has Shields won in the UFC? One? ...and he gets a title shot? From what I remember Shields first fight wasn't exactly a one sided fight either. I guess it's good publicity but shit, there have to be others in the division that have won more than one fight in the UFC. GSP will control the fight and pull off another easy win by unanymous decision.
As far as the Silva/GSP fight goes...that's tough. I want GSP to win just because Silva has gotten so cocky, with good reason, but it still bugs me. If I had to put money on it it would go to Silva for his reach and strength, but GSP fights smart and has the strength to get out of holds that most fighters would fall victim to.

IMO, the only chance Shields has of beating GSP is putting GSP on his back or a punchers chance since GSP's chin is questionable.
More than likely GSP is going to wear his ass out standing up and take GSP down against the fence to score points and nullify Sheilds BJJ.

DAMN, he's such a badass he's going to take himself down AND beat Sheilds. Silva doesn't stand a chance

If it (weight & size) was the other way around I would take GSP. GSP has nothing going for him in this fight except for a huge payday. He will get his butt kicked.
Maybe in the time it takes for this fight to happen Bones Jones will hone his skills and get a shot at Silva. Now that is a fight worth waiting for.
