Highly rated out of college. Has been injury prone but sometimes is productive. He might be productive behind this line. Pretty similar to Murray, but maybe a little faster.

This should leave the 1st round pick to a pass rusher correct?

Well, he's not Murray.... ABF's 3 YPC last season. Of course with a bad line, too. I think he can do well here, but it's important to understand this is not Dallas' replacement for Murray. They will still draft a back. This is merely cheap insurance.

2 years, up to $5.85 million, $200,000 bonus. I want to know the guaranteed portion of that but it has to be low. McFadden may never make it out of training camp.

Damn, did the Raiders fuck him up that bad?? I know he had some injuries, but anything the Raiders touch is tainted.

I'm referring to him getting beat out for the job, not getting hurt.

oh yea, i forgot about that young guy that took over.

I don't see Mcfadden as the every down back. This is going to be running back by committee.

The curse of the Star is going to fuck Murray up as it has every other good player that has left Dallas. Name one Cowboy that has left to another team and been as productive as he has here...

                    Jimmy Smith

I wouldn't call it the curse of the star. I would call that bad draft picking since the inception of salary cap.

McFadden ran a 4.33 40, Murray ran a 4.41. McFadden went 4th overall in the 08 draft, but yeah, he has had injury concerns. I actually like this signing as he is a lot like Murray in his running style.

LOL i actually am having trouble.

Ken Norton is the only other one that can come to mind.

I also think that is just a sign of Jerry overspending to keep good players in the past

There's been plenty of good ones that left here and were much better. Just in recent years Marty B, Kevin burnett (not superstar but good) jay Ratliff, and there were two offensive linemen Peterson and I forget the other ones name. Theres been a lot of players that were backups here and went elsewhere becoming starters and regular contributors on other teams.

Heck if JJ wanted a RB that stays hurt he should have picked up Ben Tate for a $1.99 and a half pack of Marlboro's and not spend the money on McFadden. When Tate is healthy, which is next to never, he is a beast.
