  • Is Dallas going to be able to keep Demarco Murray?

discuss.... i'm curious what you guys think. We have Dez Bryant, DeMarco Murray, Doug Free, Rolando McClain, Justin Durant, Nick Hayden, George Selvie and Bruce Carter all coming up as free agents. What's Dallas going to do?

They keep Dez as long as they don't franchise tag him. Demarco will end up somewhere else, hes going to want way too much money. Rolando McClain is a must sign, keep Free, keep Carter. I definitely don't want to see Carr anymore, overpaid and overrated. Fill in defensive spots in the draft next year.

It's been proven you shouldn't spend on running backs.

Running backs are the whores of the nfl. Use him and throw him away. That's what I expect any normal Gm to do, But this is jerry we are talking about. They will sign him to a 4 year 80million dollar deal.

I'd be kinda sceptic just because this is the first year he's been injury free. That being said, if he wants crazy money then I wouldn't think its a wise decision to sign him. If it's reasonable and the length is reasonable. Like let's say 4 years then maybe.

I wonder how how good he will be next year with all the carries he's getting.

There's a lot more than that. Something like 23 players and they all contribute. Murray wants his pay day and Dallas isn't in a position to give it to him. I wish we could keep him but I don't think he will be wearing a star next year. I also think there is a better than average chance Peterson will take his place.

I think he's gone. Dez is the real talent and needs to be signed. This o-line can make a average RB into a great one. Jerry signs Peterson on the cheap next yr after he's cut.

I think you're right about that. Randle and durant looked great.

I don't want demarco to leave, but the economics of the situation will dictate otherwise. Just keep Jerry away from the checkbook.

Hoping that AP "retires" from Minnesota this year, since they won't reinstate him. Meaning maybe Jerry can convince him to come out of retirement next year to play here.

If Murray is here then Peterson would have no reason to want to play here as a backup. Two high caliber running backs on the same team never works.

That's the thing. All signs point to Murray not being a Cowboy next season.

exactly, we'll drop Murray, AP will cost less because of his "scandal"

AP will be 30 come spring and on the decline. Yes he will still have gas in the tank, but he's not going to be the same player as he was last year or even the year before. Not to mention, why alter from what has proven to be successful in Murray.
