Looks like it will just be one player on top of the three specified, and Rangers getting reliever Jake Diekman. I'm not familiar with Diekman, but those more in the know seem very excited to get him in this deal.

Hamels is the real deal. Hamels and Darvish next season will be a hard hitting 1, 2 for sure. Keeping Gallardo is probaby a good call, because he is a legit #3. I'm not sad to see Harrison go. It's a great story, but he is clearly not the same pitcher. Holland has his rehab starts soon, be interesting to see what Holland somes back to Arlington.

I will be out there again Saturday. Colby pitched a gritty game tonight for sure.

And the Nolan correlation is an interesting one. Yes the wheels were in motion in Houston, but he clearly knows a thing or two and having him around obviously helps more than it hurts.

The Hamels deal is finally official and it looks like it went exactly as described. We get $9.5 million, Hamels and Diekman. They get Harrison with his contract and insurance policy and everyone else mentioned.

It's a good deal for both sides. One thing about Harrison is the Phillies aren't going to have the emotional attachment. I couldn't see JD or anyone in the Rangers organization telling him he's not cutting it after seeing all the hard work he went through to come back. I hope he does good and earns his contract but it'd be almost miraculous. This could turn into a situation like Jeff Bagwell and AROD had. When the player wants to play and earn their contract but the team wants to cash in an insurance policy. Now it's the Phillies problem.

bumgarner took issue to deshields bat toss after a pop up. He mouth off at Desheilds in which caused both benches to get up. Beltre was mouthing stuff back to him, which caused Bumgarner to mouth back.

bumgarner was just pissy because he was getting his ass plowed. Deshields is a rookie, Dumbgarner is the furthest thing from a rookie, and that reflected poorly on him in my opinion. You can't let people get under your skin.
