I'm going to go out on a "limb", and say that the kid started squirming and that's why the non buttocks areas were hit.

i have no doubt thats exactly what happened. I would think you would stop vs. keep swinging on the back, butt, legs and nutsack? i mean do you know how much Tali pays dudes to have that done?

      god bless.

For those who have never experience a country ass whipping...

As Kim said elsewhere, too small of a switch will sting like hell and burn. Too thick of one hurts like a mother fucker (dull pain). Both will wrap around the ass/legs/whatever's in the way. It's kind of the point of using a switch. When the kid jumps around, these things happen.

I don't think AP set out to beat the shit out of his kid. I think he was well intentioned. I do believe he was either mad, or didn't realize his own strength when whipping him. I've had way worse whippings, with marks that FAR exceeded what we've seen so far. I don't think this was even remotely close to an intentional criminal act.

I generally would not have a problem with it, but ...

          1. I'm not seeing a 4 y/o requiring a whooping this bad.
          2. Putting leaves in the kids mouth is just strange.
          3. I think AP needs to learn not to admin a whooping when overly mad.

He at least deserves the scare, massive legal fees and a lawsuit. Not sure about jail time since he was at least disciplining his child for a reason.

But with injury to the scrote, I wouldn't be mad at jailtime either.

You can't just beat the shit out of a 4 year old like that...

This case was brought before a grand jury once already and they choose not to proceed. They, now the second grand jury, just announced it had voted to proceed with bringing charges against him a few days ago.

Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, already facing felony charges in Texas for child abuse, was accused in a separate incident involving another son who is 4 years old, KHOU-TV in Houston has reported.

So he whoops his kid in May, calls Uncle Jerry in June....and now they're saying the Vikings have benched him for the season.

so this exemption means he is out for the season?

It means exactly what they said it means. He's out until the legal proceedings of his case are finished, and that isn't a guarantee that they will let him come back. It will all depend on the end outcome/verdict. Seeings as how our legal system is slow, I'd bet he won't play much more this season, if at all.

IMO that kind of action is a little excessive on a four year old. I used to get hammered with a switch, wooden spoon, buttstock, etc, but never was switched like that at that age and I lived in an era where beating the shit out of a kid was widely acceptable. A simple swat on the ass gets the point across just fine at that age.
