Imagine the media hype if they had manziel, peterson and sam on the roster. The Cowboys would be relevant for at least 52 years, give or take 17.

All true. I just wonder if he was REALLY the best option out there.

Not really sure, but the dude has heart and drive to play in the nfl, and the cowboys ain't exactly the Seahawks on D. Give him a shot, I say. What he lacks in size he makes up with speed, from what I've seen.

Doesn't matter they still suck. No coach no gm and a mediocre qb good luck

So now everyone can legitimately call the Cowboy's gay.

Joking aside, it was actually a good move. The defense is so bad he has a legit chance of being a starter. He was decent in preseason and showed potential...

But as QIK46 said, it doesn't matter, they still suck. I can't even pick on my neighbors anymore. It is just so pathetic that I pity them. I've started offering them Saints t-shirts.

His lack of speed was one of his detractors on scouting reports.

He's a legit pass rusher, but that's all he is. That said, he's likely better than any other DE on this roster. Rams could afford to cut him. They've got one of the best, and deepest D lines in the league.

lol @ signing someone to the practice squad being a publicity stunt.

oh come on you know it's for publicity. However he probably will get a chance to start. Signing him to the practice squad gives them an out if he doesn't pan out. Also gives him enough time to learn the defense before being tossed on the field into that mess

If it was for publicity, they would have signed him the second he hit waivers. I seriously believe they signed him out of necessity. I was shocked they didn't do it sooner. They even signed another DE before Sam.

They really don't need an out. Rams took one for the entire NFL on that deal.

I guess this means Ed Werder has to ask about his showering habits now.

Good thing Charles Haley isn't in the locker room anymore, I'm sure pulling out his junk and stroking it in Sam's face might be taken the wrong way
