  • Ash out again, Swoopes in

More concussion symptoms is what they're saying. I guess we'll see Tyrone Swoopes getting his first career start against BYU.

Ash just needs to hang it up. My bet is that we'll see Heard before much longer. Espinosa and Ash out really sucks though. D looked much improved Saturday.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

I think they played him too hard too early. He looked like a little kid his freshman year.

Definitely brought him back too early last year. He had no business being on the field in that k state game.

Ugh...The offense is going to suffer. Rumor has it Espinosa is out the rest of the year...and Ash should really just hang it up.

            Not a rumor, it's factual.

X 100000000 hopefully Raulerson (sp?) with a full week of first team snaps can get things straight. Center is certainly a bad position to lose in the middle of a game.

                  Charlie Strong isn't messing around.
Texas will be without two more players this weekend.

According to multiple reports Wednesday night, Texas coach Charlie Strong has suspended two offensive tackles, Desmond Harrison and Kennedy Estelle, for the BYU game.

Harrison had just been reinstated to the team on Monday after serving a one-game suspension. Estelle, meanwhile, was suspended for the Alamo Bowl last season for academic reasons.

Whatever the reasons for the latest suspensions now, the news leaves Texas with an offensive line short on experience. The Longhorns lost senior center Dominic Espinosa for the season thanks to a fractured ankle suffered in the opener, and now the Texas offensive line's most experienced starter is guard Sedrick Flowers. When he lines up against BYU on Saturday it will be the third start of his career.

Texas also lost quarterback David Ash and will start Tyrone Swoopes this week.

No matter the situation, the message remains pretty clear in Austin. You either get on board with Charlie Strong's program, or you aren't going to play, consequences be damned
I'd like to see a game between the UT offense and Cowboys defense.

Well Swoops and the O line grew up a little today. I say a little because they are still running a very simple/conservative offense. No line check calls and hes basically zeroing in on one receiver. Texas played tough but there's no moral victories.

Looks like Ash played his last game of football. I hope he doesn't have lingering symptoms
