Anybody keeping up with this? Team from Illinois is an all black team with some really good athletes. They killed team from Washington yesterday. One kid had 3 HRs and a triple. They look to be the team to beat...but, the team from Pearland is pretty stout as well. Several of these kids are friends of my son's and were on same team last year. Colby was supposed to be on this team but my ex did not want to commit to the travel ball and LL. It would have been sweet to watch my kid on ESPN! I hope the Pearland team gets to face the Chicago team. It will be a great match up. I see Pearland going the distance...if they can keep their pitching rotation in place. Colby's best friend plays on the team and he's a stud as well. Clayton Broeder. He will go yard several times.
Colby is still throwing gas...79-81mph now. He is 6ft 210 and he's still 12. From 46ft and 81mph pitch is similar to 106mph from major league distance! And Colby has a cutter that he throws around 68 and a curve that is around 60. Not many of these LL kids would be able to hit him.

I watch every game that I can. There has been a lot of good ball played so far.

I'll watch it, but I hate the fact they still play on a field sized for 9 year olds. I also hate that so many kids throw almost 50% breaking balls. I hate that crap. Throw a few types of fastballs and a change up only!

Colbey would be a beast at that distance. Jordan is starting to touch upper 60's now from the left side and just turned 11 a few weeks ago. Very few kids can put the bat on the ball from 46' where he just got done pitching as a 10u. We head to NC for USA Baseball in two weeks, and I'm anxious to see him there against kids from all over the country and a 51' mound. Should be fun.

LoL..I dont have to. The boy has been big his entire life. He was well off the pediatric growth curve his entire life. He is playing football at school this year as he is going into 7th grade. But he will still play a few baseball tourneys throughout the year with his team.
