Yes indeed. I just feel there are people far more deserving of that belt. Luck, along with his opponents poor decisions got him that belt, not his skill.

Tonight will be a test I could be proven wrong but I think the dragon will get him.

It's unfortunate how he won in the second fight, but at no point in either of the two fights did Silva show he was the better fighter.

I'd rather have seen the Belfort fight too, but I still see Weidman weathering a trt storm, then coming out on top with a better technical game plan.

That's the thing about Silva. I think he does that on purpose. Rather than rush out there and knock someone out in the first 20 seconds, which I think he could, he hangs back and lets them work. That way no one can say "he got lucky".
If he's fighting a grappler he will let the take him down. If hes fighting a stand up guy, he will back against the cage and let someone wail on him for a bit. He gives the other guy a fair chance and then turns it the fuck on.
Like he did with say, Bonnar.
Bonnar wanted to stand up and grind it out. Silva buts his back on the cage, drops his hands, and lets bonnar go to work. He waits until 0:30 left in the 1st round and turns it on. Gives bonnar a heart stopping knee to the chest.
That was extreme confidence. Not cockiness.

I believe he let sonnen beat him up for five rounds. The arm barred the fuck out of him.
Then they meet again and sonnen runs with fucking mouth hard. Immediately takes down silva for the entire first round which is exactly what sonnen wanted. Pounding on silva the entire round. Even getting in full mount for fifty seconds.
In the second round its time. You see Silva trying. Actually defending a take down. He turns it on and murders sonnen. That drugged up bitch.

He got cocky with weidman. With a million successful title defenses it was bound to happen.

He will be back in 2015.

Either way, There are a lot of silva haters. I get it, but you cant deny his death touch and amazing head movement. The guy has serious unmatched still. He simply got caught slipping. and then spaghettied his own shin.
