Stars acquire Jason Spezza

NHL free agency just opened and the first big splash off the off-season by the Stars nets a solid player/upgrade. We had to give up Chiasson in the process and I'm not familiar with the two prospects we gave up, but with Benn and Seguin on the first line and with Spezza powering the 2nd line, I wanna believe our offense just got much better. Now if we can find a top tier defenseman. I'm already looking forward to hockey season.

According to Bob McKenzie of TSN, Dallas will receive Spezza and Ludvig Karlsson, and in exchange the Senators will get forward Alec Chiasson, prospects Alex Guptill and Nicholas Paul and a second-round pick in the 2015 NHL draft.

Can't wait! My ticket rep stated last week the stars gained 1600 more season ticket sales after last year. With Spezza coming in, I am sure that will get them some more sales. Will love watching this team.

I don't know what true stars fan you speak of. I am a season ticket holder and speak to moslty other season ticket holders who also like the new jerseys. I guess we aren't real stars fans...

And for what it is worth, the black jerseys were some of the ugliest jerseys the stars have ever had. The greens before that were better than the crap black. No true stars fan ever liked that crap. Up there with the shitty bull jersey.
