I am not sure why Donovan was left out but seems to be a poor choice. Also, how the heck did Diskerud get on the roster? Every time he plays, he does unnecessary fouls, passes the ball to the other team and constantly falling over when someone looks at him.

Well the head coach is from Germany, if you look at the team he let go of some good players and is using some German players. Look at Brek Shea and what he did in the Gold cup but I found out today he will only be used if someone is injured.

I'm definitely baffled by some of his picks so we shall see. USA being in the group of death worries me but I hope they can pull off some miracles!

This. He's been stealing 'talent' from Germany just like they've done from Mexico before. If US soccer had the same process to produce home-grown players like the rest of the world does, they'd have a much better league/NT.

Shea has great potential and I look forward to seeing him grow. He just didn't have enough playing time this season coming back from an injury. His buddy Juan Agudelo is another one I'm following.

I'm not a big LD fan, but you can't leave an experienced guy like him out of your team. These German kids better work wonders.

I believe Shea is the left forward who is from College Station TX and has the Mohawk. He actually does really good. He still young and still has a lot to learn but has huge potential from what i saw.

PandaBear - That is one thing which i do not understand. LD fan or not, he has great experience and that is something which is needed on this fresh roster he is building.
