He overpays players for past performance, and he's an idiot. But if he doesn't keep your favorite overpaid player, he's an idiot. He finally makes TWO consecutive decisions that were not only wise, but in the best interest of the team as a whole, and he's an idiot. Don't get me wrong. Jerry is a complete, window licking retard when it comes to team management, contracts, etc. No argument there. But the fact of the matter is, you'll never be happy. You're hating him for doing something you say he's needed to do for years. The only difference is the player. At least be consistent with it.
And once again, since you people don't get it. Romo is the least of Dallas' problems. Is he a football God? No, and I've never said that. But you find me a quarterback, that we can afford, and is available, that will do a better job. You can't, and won't. Romo is an easy scapegoat for the football illiterate. The problem starts and ends in the Jones residence. Shit rolls down hill. Jerry has thought for years that they were one big name away. As does the coaching staff. As do the players. Every problem this team has, and has had, and will have, go back to Jerry Jones. He's stated publicly, a hundred times, the day a GM takes over, is the day he is buried.
I've maintained from the start of this, that I won't say he's pulled his head out of his decrepit ass, but the fact of the matter is, he's made two smart decisions that have bettered this club in the long run, whether you agree with them or not.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

I just don't see how losing one of the few performers you have is a good decision? There are so many other people to fire that it boggles the mind. Firing miles austin off of the roof was a good decision.
And i think you mistake my concerns. It is great if the Cowboys lose, they NEED a 0-16 season. It would be the best thing that could happen to them. I actually hope their new guy gets 0 sacks. Hell i hope he scores a TD for the other team. But i have the right bitch the whole way down into the sewer.Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

It's a good decision, because they aren't strapped for cash like they were last week. They were headed in to the season over the cap, and still sucking. Why not free up some cash, since sucking was going to happen with our without Ware. It allows money to address other issues. Bigger issues. Keeping Ware wasn't fair to him either. One of the best guys to play the game deserves a ring. It wasn't going to happen as long as he was wearing a blue star. You have to stop the stupidity and start making good decisions somewhere. Romo will fall victim to the same fate. No way he lives out that new contract and I've said that from the day he signed it.
They freed up $7 million when they got rid of Ware. That will get you a T-shirt at the gift shop I think. Maybe a hot dog. Let's just wait and see what Jerry gets with the $7 million for this upcoming season. If they go 8-8 I'll be surprised.Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

He IS declining. He has a hell of a lot better chance of a ring with a number of teams, one of which is Denver. You do realize there is more than one player on the field, right? You do realize one player can't take a team of 53 to a Super Bowl, right? Denver D is pretty decent. They had some injuries down the stretch which skew the numbers a little. Ware is a guy you can plug in to a defense like that, and improve it. He's not an every down player like he used to be. He's no longer a guy that can carry an entire defense like was required here. But with Von Miller on the other side, a few good linebackers, and an average secondary - yes, he can thrive. He's not the same player he has been his whole career though. He needs someone to take the attention off of him so he doesn't get double teamed every down he plays. He hasn't ha that here in a while. He wasn't going to have it next year, either. Now he has that in Denver.
Do you actually watch and study football, or are you just taking the opportunity to kick Jerry in the nuts. I'm really starting to wonder.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

Here's my two cents. The Cowboys had two players worth more than Charmin extra soft that I actually liked and respected (Ware and Whitten). Now they have one. There is no way you can convince me that Jerry Jones will make this team better without Ware. Like Al P said, $7M in cap space doesn't get you squat.
With that said, I'm happy for Ware that he'll probably have a Pro Bowl year in Denver and get to play for a contender.'99 Jeep Wrangler Sport 4.0L

A lot of players have a lot better chance to get a ring with another team. None of that matters. What matters in this thread is what is best for the Cowboys. You say getting rid of a proven performer with one bad season under his belt is wise when we can't spot talent for shit. I say that is a mistake. We'll see who is right about that.
Jerry should be kicked in the nuts. He is incompetent when it comes to managing the team. How many years of failure does it take for people to realize that? How many 8-8 seasons? Although I do hear he is a really nice guy and fun to hang around with.Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.
