He's playing like a lazy, entitled superstar that has aged beyond his ability.

I like Ware, but he is getting old and he is over paid. His production is lacking, he's always on the sideline in key games. It was a smart move.

He'll re-sign the entire Defense and totally redeem himself!

Austin will be gone, no doubt. But it won't be until after 6/1. And that's another wise decision, both letting him go, and waiting til 6/1 to do so.

As a Skins fan, news like this is not good. Rational decisions are not the things we want to hear about from 'ole JJ.

I don't think that will hurt Houston too much. Daniels, like Ware, won't get even close to what they think they are worth.

That's fine but D Ware isn't going to get close to that money anywhere else. The cowboys tried to make a deal for a lower amount and he said no I guess. Lets see how much he gets paid elsewhere. I bet its not even close to 12m, more in the 3 to 4 range.

I won't go so far as to say he has finally pulled his head out of his ass. But he's made one good decision so far, for the future of this team. Ware flat out sucked donkey balls the last two seasons, whether his fault, or not; he had to go. You should be happy Jerry didn't cave and keep/overpay him. I guaranfuckingtee you, had we kept him, and been unable to fill other holes, you'd be cussing Jerry for keeping him.

It's a business. You can't make emotional business based decisions and expect to be successful. I've got no problem with renegotiating contracts. It is the way a business works, especially the NFL. If a player doesn't want to play ball, best of luck, but good fucking riddance.

Yup, he wasn't the same last year, and isn't a 12m/yr guy in my opinion.

I hate to see him go, but it betters the team in the long run

You really think Ware is worth $12,000,000+ this season? Seriously? You might need your head checked.

It had to happen. You will criticize him all day long for overpaying players past their prime, but when he lets one go, he gets criticized for that, too? I'm not defending Jones here. If you love this team, this was a GOOD business decision.
