No safety car correct? Cause if so it looks like perhaps the advantage Mercedes has might be not as big as before.

No safety car, but Mercedes definitely could have been quicker. That was a managed race to ensure they finished with all of the correct fuel figures and didn't wear out the car.

well the word is williams had made large strides before canada so it paid even more dividends here.

apparently they went with a factory mercedes style intercooler setup and significantly slimed and reprofiled their sidepods.

It's nice to see williams where they are right now. Most improved team this year from last IMO.

I think this is the first time I've actually enjoyed watching nascar over F1. If NASCAR was an all road course event...I'd watch it regularly.

X2, NASCAR RR is the most entertaining road racing IMO.

I hope this race doesn't suck...

Some of Bernie's recent comments are making him look like he's losing it. Both sides of the debate about the future of F1 are starting to lose touch with what it is...but I think money will tear the sport in half.

yea the whole aura around F1 does have bad feels.

as long as big names dont pull out, the money will keep flowing.

My biggest concern would be small teams starting a league of cars that run V8s and similar chassis. Or the big boys starting a separate league because they can't agree on rules.

Regardless I am happy to see Renault feeling heat and looking bad. They pushed so hard for a tiny turbo engine and now they're eating it.
