I agree...I'm hoping vettel has his mojo back. A great drive by Alonso as well.

If this were redbull leading we would not hear the end of how boring it was...but because it's merc with a bigger advantage tha rb has ever had...we don't hear the same crying? Nobody cared to watch the battles between 4-10 last year but it's all of a sudden great now? Lol

well, 4 years (vettel) vs 4 races (hamilton), big difference. true, only late last year was the domination by RBR (vettel rather) that people got bored of, but there was no excitement there. the gap to 2nd was +30 seconds on several occasions after managing pace. tv coverage never bothered showing the leader until final lap.

atleast now the gap is between 2-3. there has been some good dramatic 1-2 battling combined with battles throughout the top 10, most of it intra-team. despite this, i already hear grumblings of mercedes.

if this was a one horse race like it was last year, it would be equally shitty to watch but luckily both mercedes drivers are close and both cars seem to make it to the end of the race... unlike webber's RBR.

as far as vettel, if he can get his mojo back then he can challenge his teammate for 3rd.
if RBR + renault gets their mojo together, then they can challenge mercedes.

that said, this year has an ominous tone that the rest of the field will simply be fighting for 2nd place constructors.

ferrari and mclaren should be ashamed.

I didn't think it was boring but it was far from Bahrain. Kimi/grosjean and Kimi/Alonso were both great. Sebastian tearing it up from 15 was great. Merc dropping Lewis front wing when he didn't want it was interesting. But it was Spain...and like any modern race there was a lot of 2 second gaps to save tires.

We did get a classic crashtor Maldonado case to fume at as well! Aside from a smaller leader gap, what else could you ask for?

mercedes tried a stupid ass megaphone exhaust per F1's request to make cars louder. that was fail.

not F1 topic, I'm impressed with Kurt Busch so far at Indy. Today is qualifying for pole day and after his second run he sits 5th quickest with an average speed of 229.960 mph. Fastest so far is Will Power with a 230.323 mph

Interesting qualifying...looks like they cleared Britney of any wrongdoing. Does look awfully suspicious though.

To see vettel performing so well with ERS issues shows his form is improving quite a bit. I am also extremely pleased with ricciardo. He is very mature and quick from day 1.

I really hope Alonso gets a good car soon...

as far as rossberg, i love seeing that kind of rivalry going on, it's so old school F1.

Man I think this rivalry is being magnified by the media because they know how bad a one team domination can be.

Hamilton is quite a bit quicker, but as long as there's the possibility of a title battle it'll help sell tickets. It's important to remember Rosberg is not a champ...
