    Vince Young files for bankruptcy.

    I know there are a lot of UT and VY homers on here...just another statistic. Athletes make millions then are broke 5yrs after they stop playing.

    This has been going on for a while. He apparently made a 1+ millon dollar loan a while back and they are not getting their money. Among other issues he has.

    Crazy, he made 26 million dollars guaranteed. not including all of his endorsements.

      Yeah, I thought you posted something about this back in July. I sometimes ponder ways to penetrate the market for managing these pro athletes' money. Shit like this is uncalled for and happens all the damned time.

          It would probably make a lot of sense if you met some of these guys in person. I feel bad for guys that lose it all in bad investments, but I am sure that's not what happened here.

                    Bankruptcy doesn't mean you are broke. It'll cancel out that almost 2 million dollars he owes for the loan, he'll lose most of the cars but he'll still have a house and can probably keep most of the stuff he's invested in. I'm not saying it's a good thing but it probably makes sense in his situation. $200k a year is meaningless in VY's head, he probably thinks he can still be an NFL QB.
