It looks like Oakland is going to have a tough time this season with Jarrod Parker out for Tommy John and Griffin having tendinitis already. I'm sure Kazmir will probably step up though since Billy Beane has some magic voodoo he uses on washed up pitchers.
Gentry is also hurt and may not make the opening day roster, while Choice is hitting everything and playing like a superstar. Daniels appears to have won one over on Beane.
The Angels didn't do anything to improve from last season. Their media is bragging about Hamilton hitting 3 foul balls, I guess it's better than striking out looking. CJ has been by far their best pitcher, Weaver seems okay but the other 3 guys in the rotation are all question marks.
I think the Mariners will be the ones to worry about this season. Their 1-2 pitchers are about the best in the game. They picked up Cano and Corey Hart, if anyone else plays to their potential the team should be very good.Comment

Yea its going to be a real crapshoot in the AL West this season. I just hope the Rangers can get out of the gate quickly and put some distance on everyone. A big problem i see this year is Seattle and Houston will be much more competitive. Seattle has always given us trouble but we feasted on the Astros last year.Comment

They just moved Sheppers into the rotation to go along with moving Soria to the closer role. Not sure where Feliz is going to end up but he's lost a little velocity and just about all of his control.

That or he injured it further by trying to play through it after hurting it originally. Either way I seriously doubt the club would jeopardize him as he just came up last year and this still being preseason to boot.Comment

I agree that Feliz not become the closer puts him in a bit of an odd position. I'm sure Warsh will try to use him as a reliever but Feliz has made clear that is not the role he wants to play here, so it will be interesting to see how that plays out. Who knows, maybe this move is what will motivate Feliz to get back on his game and get right.Comment
