Russell Wilson looked sharp today and he keeps insinuating that he wants to try playing two sports. Just think of the endorsements, I mean his name is Russell Wilson. Other than Nike Reebok I can't think of a better name for an athlete.

During that time, it was well-known throughout the game that there was a power struggle going on between Ryan and Daniels, who had acquired the title of president of baseball operations last March in a front office restructuring that ultimately led to Ryan's departure after the season. I know Ryan brought credibility to Texas. JD is the man behind the moves/trades - at least from my perspective. They both played an important role to this organization. I hate to see Ryan gone. I'm quite conflicted over who means/meant more to the Rangers at this point.

I do believe that Kinsler is washed up though. He "might" have one more 20/20 year in him, but he won't get that many homers up in Detroit. He played in a great offensive park and his numbers only decline from here. I think he's just bitter and I'm glad to see him take his "popup swing" elsewhere.

He never set right with me. His constant popups. His carelessness in the field sometimes. It always baffled me when they included him as a leader for the team. I always thought it was Young and Kinsler was just there to play his position and collect his paycheck.

Daniels seems really broken up about the whole thing (not really). Personally I'm looking forward to seeing 450' homeruns over the right field porch again and I won't miss the pop fly/shrugs from Kinsler he seemed to do 3/4 of the time.

I think he's got a chip on his shoulder. He supposedly put on some weight (muscle) in the offseason to get back to his old playing weight. I expect him to actually have a solid year - barring injury keeping him out of the lineup. I don't think he'll repeat his Texas numbers, but it wouldn't be far fetched to see him with 30-35 HR and 110 rbi.

We just signed Joe Saunders to a one year deal.

We'll have several pitchers in the wings to try and cover the starting rotation with the injuries to Holland and Harrison. Lewis is also expected to be used more sparingly until his reps can be increased.
