With CC being healthy they just became my favorite to win the AL East. Kuroda, Nova and Pineda are all substantially better than average pitchers. They added Ellsbury, Beltran and McCann, to play with Tex, Jeter, Ichiro, Soriano and Brett Gardner. They still have some bullpen questions and I don't get their second basemen but otherwise they have a very good team all of a sudden.

None of those names strike fear in me. All those names you mentioned are walking injuries whose best days are way behind them.

Darvish looks like a bargain right about now.

Garza to the Brewers, 4 years for $52 million.

Matt Garza and his reasonable contract make sense for a team that's in, but not all-in.

To no real surprise the Rangers have named Darvish as the opening day starter.

They are talking to Scott Boras about Suk-Min Yoon now. He won Korea's triple crown as a pitcher in 2011 and was pretty solid in the 09 WBC. Personally I'm scared of Korean pitching but at least the Rangers are looking at options.

On another note Feliz is hitting 98mph in winter league play, I think he'll be fine as closer again.

                  Rangers 2014

Bards and Galarraga have been signed to minor league deals with the Rangers.

Roughed Odor has been invited to Spring training.

Nolan is officially working for the Astros now.

Also we signed our former Angel battery member with Tommy Hanson. It worked with Molina and Napoli, no reason to expect it won't work this season. Lots of upside with this deal. Hanson was pretty solid for a while, he's cheap and he knows the Angel's better than anyone else on the team now.

Suk-Min Yoon to the Orioles for 3 years, $5.75 million. Hard to believe that was the top offer. Then again the Korean leagues aren't real highly regarded. I really wanted to be able to yell YOU SUK at our middle reliever.

Just saw Cruz's deal with the Mariners has fallen thru and Seattle is "exploring" other options. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he ends up back with the Rangers on a one year deal with maybe an option for the second year.

Tommy Hanson passed the physical and is now on roster. Looks like they may peg him for some starts in place of Holland.

Doubtful. We are deep in the outfield as is. Choo, Martin, and Rios are the expected starting OF's.

Agree.. He would be a DH with Moreland, and a relief outfielder.
                              Some cars and a bike...

Some say... they have been raced, some a lot

If we sign Cruz then Moreland is heading somewhere else. Rosales and Chirinos can back up Fielder if necessary, we don't really need a backup first baseman on the roster and especially not one that's an automatic out against lefties.
