Jeremy Mayfield's financial troubles got worse this week as his mortgage lender has begun foreclosure proceedings on his approximately 400-acre property in North Carolina. Mayfield took out a $3.1 million mortgage in July 2006, and his lender alleges that he has failed to make his payments, according to the foreclosure filed Tuesday in North Carolina Superior Court in Newton, N.C. That has resulted in the lender, Carolina Farm Credit, to call on Mayfield to pay the balance of $2.387 million plus more than $340,000 in interest and fees, according to the filing. A hearing on the foreclosure is set for Feb. 7

Not bad for a basically second teir team(albeit with Roush equipment). He'd be helping-out TRG by driving the #71 since they don't have a driver and he'd keep it in the top 35, and that would also allow Bayne to run another half-season in the #21, and a full season in Nationwide. Ragan has been released so I'd bet the #6 is done for 2012, and will probably come back in 2013 with Stenhouse driving. With the #6 out in 2012, it locks the #71 in for the first five races next year, and they run Roush equipment so it helps all parties involved. Stenhouse will also probably split a ride with Carl in the Nationwide series for most of the companion races, and Bayne will run full-time in another car. But, what do I know!Originally posted by mutherjuggzThat whole "making love" shit is for the birds. That's why Busch will probably replace Almendinger in the #43. RPM is HURTING for $$, they need all they can get, and Busch will probably get that ride because he gets sponsors and puts fans in the stands, whether you like it or not. There's way more talented drivers out there than there are rides, so the car owners can pick and choose who they want. It will be interesting to see where Reutiman ends-up. I think he's VERY talented, but what car owner/sponsor wants a 40+ year-old guy that isn't named Labonte/Martin/etc?Los Angeles Rams 11-5
