The 2 car packs in practice were just over 199mph. Not sure how they're figuring race speeds will not be over 200mph after seeing those practice speeds.

event liability insurance wants them at 190, problem is when you get two cars drafting at 190, this new car will only go mid 170's by itself, huge headache for gear choice and engine builders.

Really didn't say it meant jack although 1/3 of Daytona winners have come from the front row. Whether is means anything or not it is a huge deal to go from pole to dead last on the starting grid.

it sounds like he isnt, one reason is he isnt running the sprint cup to get points. Nascar made it to where drivers pick one series to race a championship and he picked the nationwide series. I think it would be a good thing not to rush this kid. Yes Im impressed, but even he says that he needs to get more experience. I was so happy though that Bobby Labonte finished 4th, and pushed Bayne to the win all the way until turn 4, but foxsports.com, nascar.com, or even Fox itself mentioned that.

Awesome race today. It was sad to see Jr get knocked out how he did, especially after doing so well.

As for Bayne, good for him. Only his second race, racing part time and pulls out the biggest win of the year. Bravo!

Oh, I bet Ragan feels like a complete horse's ass after that boneheaded move he pulled on that restart! lol.

That's the 2nd big ooops for Ragan in plate racing. Couple years ago he was in second place behind Tony Stewart on the last lap and coming down the front stretch to take the checkered flag he tried to pass Stewart on the bottom but Stewart blocked and Ragan kept going beyond the double yellow and was able to make the pass before the start/finish line, but Nascar said the pass was illegal(below the yellow) and he was credited for finishing as the last car on the lead lap. LOL!
