Sometimes the apple does fall far from the tree. In his case he rolled all the way down the hill...

If golf and tennis are considered sports I'll be damned if NASCAR isn't.

I dont like the new points system. I've never really been a fan of the chase, but usually it has worked out to where the guy that usually wins the Chase has been one of the best drivers of the year. By basically saying that you can finish 11th in points and have no wins, but have better finishing average, less DNF's, and has ran more consistent than the guy that is 15th or 16th in points who has 3 wins. Im sorry but that dosent make sense to me. If this thing dosent work this year and I begin to not like it, I might just turn in my nascar card in once Labonte retires.

I know that several teams have been screaming for 4.6-5.0L DOHC fuel injected motors over and over, and the din is getting louder and louder.

The benefits to such a change would be great. It would be a tabula rasa for all engine work secrets, allow a greater connection to current automotive technology, ergo connecting them better to their audience to be able to identify with. Also, pushing the envelope with race technology will only help us as consumers as the tech trickles down.

They need to wake the fudge up and do it. Yeah yeah yeah, it opens the door to cheating, but there are ways to monitor what teams are doing to each car, and even do it in real time with EFI. They act like NASCAR is the first fucking race organization that has dealt with EFI in racing. Its not uncharted waters guys.

Who on Earth can possibly want to see JJ win another championship? It's lame enough to make F1 look exciting.

Denny Hamlin get's a little closer every year and I think this will be his year. Joes Gibbs Racing looked phenominal in the Daytona 500 qualifying.
