He may be a vegan, but at 5'11" and 275 (minimum) he damn sure eats everything else.

If Fielder hit 25 hr and had 106 rbi with Comerica as his home park, those numbers I would think go up at the Ballpark. 32-36 hr and 115-120 rbi, I'll take it. Too bad he won't do that for the next 7 years though. I suspect he'll have 3-4 good years hear before he begins declining.

He was a vegetarian for about 3 months after he got married, not anymore. At least not according to his interviews. You know he can't be vegan, he chowed down on a fan's nachos after catching a pop fly last season.

Fielder has as much or probably even more power than Hamilton and he's a lefty. The ballpark heavily favors a hitter like him. He's going to see lots of good pitches with Beltre batting behind him and runners on base.

There's 7 years left and 168M . Take off the 30M the Tigers are paying makes it 138M or just south of 20M per year the Rangers will pay. For reference Beltre is getting 16M per year and Kinsler's contract had 62M over 4 years so 15.5M?

Everyone is freaking out about Fielders contract but when you break it down, its not that much more.

They mentioned Fielder was in the middle of a divorce last year which could explain his numbers being down a bit. I think a change in scenery and what seems to be a great Ranger clubhouse (and the lefty friendly Ballpark like mentioned above) will turn it around for him.

                    Nice job JD!

As a Tigers fan I'm numb, no one saw this coming. I remember watching this kid at Tiger Stadium back in the day with his dad. I was actually surprised Ilitch signed off on this as much as he wanted to bring Prince home. Guess we'll see how this plays out for both ball teams.

No, we're talking about IAN Kinsler. You must have thought of someone else.
