Seems like the Super Bowls are starting to be a lot better to watch in the last 10 years or so. I don't think it really is a for sure blowout game anymore.
very good game. The first half had the look of a run away with Green Bay. Steelers came out in the second half and it look liked they had all the momentum until the Mendenhall fumble. Key stat for me in this game is 3 for 21. Steelers 3 turnovers gave the Packers 21 points. Rodgers had a hell of a game, and the Packers secondary did a great job in stepping up, expecially when Woodson went down with injury. To think that this was a team that didnt look like they were going to even get into the playoffs after losing to Detriot and New England. Then to win their next 6 games with 5 of them being on the road. Very impressive. In many ways this Packers team is simular to the Steelers team in 2005 and the Giants team in 2007. Teams that had to win late in the regular season, and win all games on the road in the playoffs.
Los Angeles Rams 11-5
Last Game - Loss vs. San Fransisco
Up Next - vs. Atlanta
congrats to the packers. a well deserved and well earned win. rolled into the playoffs 6th seed and took home the big trophy. and they did it without their top receiver and charles woodson getting injured.
It was a great game, I think the calls were spot on (officiating).
Not much else to say, it was nice to see GB take the win.
I really think the face mask call that shouldn't have been called was the only penalty I really disagreed with. For the most part, there were very few penalties, and out of those, most were offsides/false starts. Pretty clean game in that aspect, IMHO. It was good to see that the Steelers weren't going for Rodgers helmet, my hats off to them for keeping it clean on the QB after the bad rap that they have had this year with all the fines, etc. I was also really impressed with the lack of penalties by both teams' secondary's. Normally you are able to pick on the other teams' weakest guy and draw some PI calls because they are just inexperienced or whatever and lose position, but I don't recall but 1 or 2 PI calls the entire game. All in all, I'm thrilled as all get out, and thanks again to the Steelers for a valiant effort and coaching and playing a awesome game that did not disappoint.
I just wanted GB to win because I watched Graham Harrell grow up since his family moved to Ennis when he was 9. I just wished he had gotten a chance to play.
I may be wrong, and I'm sure someone will correct me if I am, but I don't believe the guys on the practice squad get rings. Or did he get on the 53 man roster for the Super Bowl?
He's played more football than you or I, and I don't think you've thrown as many touchdowns nor have 5,000 yards per season in the NCAA.
Just sayin'
Should he get a cookie? Harrell is a nobody, and had he not gone to Texas Tech, he'd have been a nobody in college as well. VERY mediocre talent at best. He's the definition of being a product of the system. That's why he hasn't, and won't amount to a fucking hill of beans in the NFL. Beyond that - He's a classless pile of dog shit. I bet getting fucking cut from the CFL was quite the shock to him. Fucking loser.
