So if you were in a race with 31 other cars and you came in 29th you'd actually have the balls to say, "at least I wasn't last!"?

If you're not first, you're last!

I'm just trying to really make a point, would we want to be Houston, they are in first or Cleveland (7th), Pittsburg (6th) or Tennessee (10th) for that matter.
No thanks, I'll take being number 29 in Defense and be leading in our division and 10th in the NFL power rankings.
And Denver is below us, does it mean they suck too?

I said they've improved as the season has progressed. I didn't say they were the best in the league. They held the league's leading rusher to 55 yards last week. A RB who was averaging 145 yards per game. The same RB who hung 185 and two TDs on them in ONE game last year.

And your opinion does matter Tim, it would have held more merit though if you would have also noted that we are in 13th in total offense...

edit; this was in my text to you, but I thought it was better served here...

Well now that you mention it:

              13th overall, not bad

              24th in Rushing
              8th in Passing

              Again, Romo isn't the problem.

You mean when they had guys like Ryan Leaf, Clint Stoerner, Quincy Carter, Vinny Testaverde, and Drew Bledsoe?

                Their defense does!

Oh OK. I'll take 30th in defense and 6-1 record, Tony...

I bet they could get Quincy Carter back and stay right where they are in regard to the cap.

you know that was when the cowboys had all kinds of cap issues due to Jerrys spending in the 90's. Those teams were just bad all around.

That's my main gripe. I realize there aren't any better QBs available, but to spend $50MM on Romo was a poor decision in my opinion.

Even the Saints won a SB with a half wet paper sack defense on the back of drew brees and receiving core. :-)

                                A) Romo won't live out his full contract here.
                                B) It is mostly back end money, with the highest paid years at the end of the contract. Refer to point A.
