  • Celtics down. Great all around offensive performance. Really good scoring off the bench. Nice to see Marion finally get another double/double.

Speaking of Dirk, I think most people take him for granted and don't realize just what an amazing player he is and his place in history. He's been on a role the last year or so, moving up the list over some all time greats on the scoring list. But it's really about to start getting even more impressive. Barring injury, he will be top 10 by the end of THIS year...passing up Havlicek, Dominique, and Oscar Robertson. Next year, he'll take out Olajuwon, Elvin Hayes, and Moses Malone. That's some damn lofty company. The year after, he catches Shaq. I doubt he stays around long enough to go any higher than that, but hell, to finish #5 in all time scoring...that's a helluva career.

We were tied for 6th after that win, not sure who we were tied with but apparently they won as well, therefore we fell back to #8.

Whooped up on the Celtics last night, though I didnt really get to see any of the game. Still going strong and at the right time too, seems like the guys are really wanting to make a push for a better spot than 8th.

Golden State didn't play yesterday so we are now in 7th for the moment.

Mavs have been playing better, albeit against weak competition, but they haven't been 1 and 2 point wins. They've mostly done what they should - blow these teams out. With Dalembert playing to his capability lately, we're a much better team. Mavs schedule gets decidedly tougher after tomorrow's game against the Bobcats.

If Golden State and Phoenix lose, BAM we are in 6th

Either way, we are doing great, hopefully we can keep the pace, avoid injuries and perhaps even solidify a playoff spot. The next what 5 games are going to be tough...but then again we knew this, the players know this and Ricky boy is ready, cant wait

Damn I missed that. Lost of surprising wins lately Mavs not withstanding.

They blew a great lead but a win is a win. Good all around effort and I thought was good play from Wright, Harris, and Carter off the bench but was surprised by Blair's limited playing time.

There's a pretty good article I read a few days ago that I've been meaning to share and I'll do that tomorrow. Dirk's scoring doesn't give enough credit to the man. It's nice to see him getting that though as he passes some of these big names in basketball. It would be interesting to see how the number of years in the league playing compares to this points list. I'll have to look that up tomorrow as well.

                      • Mavs are on a roll. It seems like their achillies heel was the turnovers. I'm interested in the Indiana game. That will be a good test on where they are at.

Bynum will cause that team to self implode.

                            • So I looked up all the players number of seasons in the league on the Top 20 Scoring Leaders and I think Dirk has some pretty impressive numbers seeing that he still has a few years left in him and only one active player in the league ahead of him.
