It was an amazing game for Marion and the Timberwolves were straight disrespecting him by allowing those open 3 shots...lol, please by all means, offer this man NO respect so he can drop another 30+ points on you...lol

First 30+ game for Marion since 09'...if that says anything about his ability...or the timberwolves lack of respect.

I think with the cap space we will have next year, we should be a REAL contender regardless if we get the big fish or not.

Yeah that is why I didnt take any bets on the Mavs/Spurs because they were on a back to back game...just regular season though

Definitely a crazy game. Unfortunately I was out with the family and couldn't watch the game, listened to some of it on the radio and watched the last five minutes on TV once I got home.

Totally agree! Not only his offense but his defense to. The last block on the Timberwolve player (can't remember his name) sealed the game for us. Not sure if it was a foul or not but they didn't call it and I ain't arguing. Marion has consistently been a great defender but when we get nights like this where his offense is just as good, I'm glad he's on our team. I've always respected him since his days playing with Phoenix and Steve Nash.

Vince Carter also has nights of brilliance like this and I think he's got another couple of good years left in him. I know next year is still a long ways off but I agree, should be interesting with the cap space we will have available who we might be able to get. The question is more like, who will be willing to come here? We've had two years of not being able to land a big name and I don't see it happening soon. All I can say is we make some smart moves for good players and build around with what we have right now.

I honestly can't remember the last time I saw him play, maybe last year against Dallas when he was with Atlanta? And I wonder if he still has what it takes to compete at a high level. I hope he does, I've always liked him. I wanna say he still kept a house here in Dallas but not sure about that.

Horrible shooting. Only scored 87 points against the subpar Wizards. .385 from the field and .250 from long range, just pathetic. Hard to believe we have such great games immediately followed up by the worst performance of the year, albeit still a win. And we got out rebounded to top it off.

but yes, our shooting was cold, though I feel everyone stepped up to make shots when they were needed though no one walked out with a 30point night. LOL, at least we are not washington fans...3/16 on second chance points...bwahhahahaha

Even though we had less rebounds, we turned the ones we did get into points. Last nights win was a great team effort when the team wasnt hot.

Agreed. It wasn't pretty but it was a win. Haven't seen a low output game like that this year but considering Dirk was a little gimpy I'm satisfied we left the building ahead of Washington.

I also just read that they called the last play on the Timberwolves game a foul when Marion blocked the last shot of Kevin Love. At best it would have been a tie (I think it was a two point shot) and at worst we could have lost in OT.

Glad we got out of there with a win and we have a four game winning streak on the road. Now tomorrow's game against the Clippers should be interesting. Can't wait to see the game report and see how the Clippers are.

Should be a good one...I dont think pop will play the starters or big three 9(who knows) since they blew a 12 point lead against Memphis last night with 2 mins left of the game. They went to OT and Spurs only won by 2.

We were listening to it and 103.3 kept hoping for a 5OT game...lol


Ellis took off the last 8 minutes of the game which really helped us keep at least a 13 point lead most of the remaining minutes. I am concerned for Marion though, it was a clumsy move that is costing not only him but his team as well.

Something like 18 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assist all before the half. He has been on fire for the last 3-4 games and now he can be out as much as two weeks. No worries about his health though, he came back REAL strong from the ankle sprain so hopefully this contusion is nothing more debilitating. I just hope the team doesn’t continue as they have for the past 3 games excluding last night.

Another thing, Dirk had 27 points...I am still amazed at his level of shooting % considering he is a 16year vet working on the wrong side of 30...and he can still drop 30 points a game. LOL all this LeBron hype and here we are with your boy Dirk holdin it down right there with him and almost if not achieving a double double every game. You don’t have to be big...just have skill and finesse in the paint.

Yeah I cant believe Spurs blew the lead in 2 minutes - all the starters were already checked out and Pop was forced to put them back in...

I've always dreamed of Dirk being traded or getting a deal with the Spurs...I dont think it will ever happen.
