Stars have been on a decent roll recently and have quietly slid into the 8th and final playoff spot. If they could just shore up the defense - Goligoski specifically, we could be a really good team.

Went to the game last night...first one after 19 days off for the Olympic break. Stars killed it. They got on the Hurricanes early last night and never let up. Stars are still in 8th place, by a point. They have 10 of the next 16 on home ice, which hasn't necessarily been an advantage for them this year. Never too late to become a good home team though!

I completely understand that he's been out on a major injury and there was no plan to renew his contract at the end of the season but I really think we could have gotten more for him. We got a 4th round pick that's a conditional 3rd round pick if the Ducks make it through the first round of the playoffs and he plays 50% of the time. The upside is that the ducks have been doing well and it gives him a shot for another cup title, if he makes a full recovery, on top of opening up 3.3mil in the salary. Hopefully Nill will put that to use for some solid defenders.

Robidas was my favorite player. Crap.

I, like many others hated to see robidas gone. But his injury and recovery is what put him on the list to go. I went to a couple practices last week and the week before and it appeared he was still favoring his leg, as anyone would suspect. With only 20 games left, you may be lucky to get him in the last 10, but will he be nhl ready? His contract expired this year so I am glad we got something from him. They also said Nill sat down with him and showed him who was all interested in him and they let him decide where he wanted to go. As far as Tim Thomas, whatever gets Ellis out of there I am good with.

That was a hell of a game yesterday. Seguin had his 3rd hat trick of the season. Huge game tomorrow night against Minnesota. We need a win against them.

Really wish I was a season ticket holder and could afford that extra expense for a pass. Found a few passes for sale online but they were ridiculous prices.

As he should have. It was a nasty looking hit from the stands, was surprised to see him come back out.

Oh I know, I was at the game last night. Should have been 5 games IMO. I was thinking the same thing.
