Latest news is he's cleared waivers and will resign with the Mavs.

I think he's a solid player that can fill in some minutes off the bench and cover the 5 position.

Mavs just signed DeJuan Blair formerly of the Spurs. Is this good or bad? Can't really remember him much so I had to look him up. Looks like he plays Center/Power Forward which is what we are looking for after getting loaded down with Guards. Season is starting to take shape and it looks interesting.

Blair had a 23 pt/20 reb game against us one time...so there is some potential with him. It's an interesting signing. I haven't looked him up, so I don't know what his stats are like over a season.

Blair was good his rookie year but has not played that well since. Not a great move for the Mavs but at this point I know they are desperate to find players.

I know he's had weight problems, that was something the Spurs had him working on.

I wasn't aware of any injuries he's had and I know he was pretty popular in the lineup with the Spurs but apparently he was in Pop's doghouse last year but I'm not sure why. The Mavs picked him up for the veteran minimum and he fills a position I feel we need coming off the bench as a combo Center/Forward. I hope it's a good pickup for the money but I didn't catch how long his contract is either.
