B. Cuban claims he has a strategy and that it's all going to play out this offseason. He's not dumping because he's milking the team, he dumped because he thinks it's the prudent play. His entire "strategy" was based entirely on huge hypotheticals that in reality, are unlikely. Time will tell, I suppose. I'm a huge fan of Cuban as an Owner, but he undoubtedly crippled his team, and his coach by the lack of action. Even Dirk questions his motives.

No argument with any of that here, but my point is that making that comparison to what Tom Hicks does/did with his teams is completely off-base. One is the result of (not yet determined) failed strategy and the other is a quite deliberate milking.

Dallas to me is a football town, I think if you ask people from other cities whats the first sports team that comes to mind thats in DFW will probably be the Cowboys. Heck LA isnt even a baseball town, its more basketball and hopes for a NFL franchise than the Dodgers or Angels.
