  • Garrett no longer calling plays?

I saw a blurb that Bill Callahan possibly will be calling the Offense. Thoughts?

Well, he did coordinate the Raiders when they went to the Super Bowl and the year before. I dunno. He hasn't improved the O-line, so I don't see how the whole offense can improve. Its going to be the same shitty linemen.

Anyone see the story about Tim Brown saying Callahan threw the SB so Gruden could win? maybe he should talk to Gannon about his 4 picks.

I heard that on SVP Show today. Ridiculous.

Not pleased with this. At all. There is speculation that Jones told Garrett to hire an O Coord, or he'd be replaced. And that Garrett would only agree, if he could fire Ryan.

Personally, I think Callahan should have lost his job this offseason. He should have been the first to go. While I agree a coach can only do so much with what they are given; his O line was still the laziest, least talented, and completely undiscliplined group of fatasses in the NFL. And there is plenty he could have done to solve all of those issues other than the talent.

I really wish they could have gotten Norvy T for the OC.

              I don't. Count your blessings.

I thought you were on board with that?

There are worse choices out there, but no, not really. I don't think Norv is what he used to be, because the game has changed.

Exactly. Don't have the quarterback nor the protection to be able to run NTs kind of offense and be successful.

That means shit when the team is playing from behind all the time. We need a disciplined OC. One who won't abandon the run 3 minutes in to a game. Someone who sticks to a game plan. And preferably one who hates the delayed draw, and bubble screen as much as I do.

Also, Garrett is clearly overwhelmed with the HC duties, and play calling on top of that.

i think they were forced to ditch the run. the oline was trash and felix wasnt any good. murray can be good obviously but i think he was still playing hurt. once romo settled in the o was good to go...

I was hoping they would fire red-headed jesus, but I guess no luck. I was thinking they were going to wait until after the AFC CG to get Dick Nolan or even Dom Capers from GB and they could bring in their own OC, but oh well.

Great changes Jerry. Another season of despair to chalk up.
